An application lighting controller called Visual Productions DaliCore VPDALICORE Lighting Converter supports DALI and, subject to a software upgrade, also supports DALI-2 and DT-8. DaliCore takes care of the commissioning and daily control of the DALI fixtures, making it an ideal choice for a standalone DALI installation. The DaliCore eliminates the need for DMX to DALI converters in projects that combine DMX and DALI. The DaliCore can initiate the required DALI control message upon receiving any entertainment protocol, including DMX, Art-Net, or sACN. a method that, as opposed to converting real-time DMX values to DALI values, results in much smoother dimming curves.

Even though the DaliCore's DMX port can be used to convert, its purpose is actually to make hybrid DALI and DMX installations easier. You can select lighting scenes that use both DALI and DMX fixtures with the DaliCore, which uses RDM to find and set up the DMX lights.
